Isabel Neville, also known as Isabel of Warwick, was born on December 5, 1451, in Warwick, England. She was the daughter of Richard Neville, 16th Earl of Warwick, also known as the "Kingmaker," and his wife Anne de Beauchamp.
Isabel Neville played a significant role in the Wars of the Roses, a series of dynastic conflicts fought between the Houses of Lancaster and York for the English throne. She was known for her beauty, intelligence, and strong-willed nature.
In 1469, Isabel was married to George Plantagenet, Duke of Clarence, who was the brother of King Edward IV. The marriage was arranged by Isabel's father, as part of his efforts to further his own political ambitions. However, the marriage was not a happy one, and there were rumors that Clarence was unhappy with Isabel and sought to divorce her.
Isabel and George had four children together, but their marriage was turbulent and marked by political intrigue. After George was executed for treason in 1478, Isabel was left a widow with young children to care for.
Isabel Neville later married Sir Henry Holland, a loyal supporter of the Tudor dynasty. She died on December 22, 1476, at the age of 25, leaving behind a complicated legacy in the turbulent politics of the Wars of the Roses.
